About

Stewart Wright Dentist

Stewart Wright (BDS) has been in general practice since he qualified from Glasgow University in 1979 when he immediately set up his own practice in Greenock. Over the next 5-6 years, his practice grew to himself plus 6 associates, during which time he was a trainer for the pilot scheme that later became the Dental Vocational Training Scheme, and also opened a second practice in Port Glasgow.

Within dentistry, Stewart has studied extensively in many areas - notably in advanced restoration occlusion and temporomandibular disorders, as well as orthodontics. These studies have taken him across the globe to gain the most up-to-date knowledge, and he has been practicing mercury-free for the last 30 years.

In the early 1980s, he completed courses in medical and dental hypnosis and gained qualifications in dental homeopathy before moving on to study TMJ, splint therapy, and advanced reconstructive dentistry with the Niles Guichet institute. This was then followed by fixed appliance therapy and dental orthopedics, setting up a study club in Edinburgh to bring top clinicians from America to Scotland to teach. He then went to the United States himself to study with the world-renowned Dr. Fonder, who he brought back to Britain to teach about Dental Distress and its devastating effects.

Outside dentistry, he has also studied extensively in complementary therapies, gaining qualifications in Naturopathic Nutrition, Homeopathy, Field Control Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Visceral technique. A qualified practitioner in all of these therapies, he offers them all at the healing centre he runs with his wife, Helen, and charitable organisation, Heal Scotland.

So, with over 40 years of experience, and a large toolbox of varied modalities, Stewart is able to offer a rare and world-class holistic dental service.
